Gerard Butler’s most successful action franchise continues as a series – and it starts this month

Gerard Butlers most successful action franchise continues as a series

Attacks on the White House, an attack in London, and then traitors in his own ranks: Gerard Butler, as the US President’s bodyguard in the Has Fallen series, can deal with every problem. With over half a billion dollars in box office grosses (according to The Numbers), the three films represent Butler’s most successful action franchise.

It’s probably no surprise that it will be continued in the near future. This month – as a series.

Gerard Butler’s action series Has Fallen is getting a series addition

With Paris Has Fallen A French offshoot of the series appears. It continues its predecessors with familiar elements: the main character is bodyguard Vincent Taleb (Tewfik Jallab), who is responsible for the well-being of Defense Minister Philippe Bardin. Suddenly an attack shakes Paris – politicians and business bosses are in the crosshairs of a stranger’s revenge campaign.

In addition to Jallab, Ritu Arya (Red Notice), Sean Harris (Mission: Impossible 6 – Fallout), Camille Rutherford (Anatomy of a Fall) and Jamie Maclachlan (The Day of the Jackal) are in front of the camera in Paris Has Fallen.

Showrunner is Howard Overman (Misfits), Butler himself serves as producer of the series.

When and where will Paris Has Fallen be released?

As Studiocanal explained in a press release a few days ago, Paris Has Fallen will be released in two installments December 23 and December 30, 2024 released on the Amazon Prime Video channel Studiocanal Presents: Allstars. Four episodes each appear.

Butler’s main series is set to continue soon with Night Has Fallen. There is no cinema release for the action sequel yet.
