Here, Maxida Märak unexpectedly appears in the Christmas calendar

Maxida Märak has been praised for the music in this year’s Christmas calendar.

“Good luck getting the leitmotif of Maxida Märak and Jon Rinneby out of your head before 2025”, wrote Aftonbladet’s reviewer.

But in Tuesday’s episode, her music appears in a whole new way. The fictional mountain resort, which the story revolves around, then arranges a karaoke evening. Sören, played by Olle Sarri, takes the stage to perform Maxida Märak’s “Nu briner ängarna”.

The karaoke night becomes a concert

Sören turns out to be no major hip-hop talent. And the karaoke night looks set to be a flop until a girl at the back of the audience suddenly makes herself known. There stands Maxida Märak, in the role of herself, offering to go on stage.

Maxida Märak has previously praised the Christmas calendar in a post on Instagram.

“So fantastic to see how everything turns out with the music arrangement – I’m so incredibly happy to be such a big part of this piece! And that my daughter and the rest of all our kids in Sápmi get to be represented on national television. Everything is not just mining and devilry, our culture is beautiful, magical and full of life”, she wrote then.
