In Path of Exile 2, just like its predecessor, there are loot filters that are designed to make your life easier. The first and best known comes from a German developer.
What is a loot filter? The NeverSink loot filter has long been a household name for many players who have already played the predecessor to Path of Exile 2. A loot filter is a tool that changes how you see loot on your screen in Path of Exile 2.
The tool highlights important loot and ensures that less important loot is hidden or displayed smaller. So you should no longer overlook the good and expensive items in PoE2. Since the patch, which ensured that opponents drop more items, a loot filter has been a really useful companion.

What functions does the loot filter already offer? Neversink’s loot filter is still in an early development stage for PoE2 in the v.0.1.2 version. However, it already has the most important functions:
What else is to come? The filter is far from being fully developed. According to the developer, the following features are still missing:
How do I install the filter? To install the NeverSink loot filter in Path of Exile 2, you first have to download it from Github. We have linked the overview page for you so that you can always download the latest version. Simply click on “Source code(zip)” under the latest post.
Then unzip the zip file with a program of your choice and add the file “Neversink.LiteFilter.filter” to the directory:
Now open Path of Exile 2 and go to the options. There you open the “Game” or “Game” tab. Now you can choose your filter. The looks and sounds should change immediately.
German developer is behind the tool
Who is behind NeverSink? The tool that simplified the lives of countless players in the first part of Path of Exile comes from a German developer. The development of the loot filters and the website filterblade.xyz, where players can create their own filters for Path of Exile, is purely a hobby.
The project is financed by voluntary supporters on Patreon.com, who donate a few euros a month to finance the further development of the loot filters. The hobby developer has been on Patreon since 2018 and blogs there about upcoming updates for his tools and filters.
Indie projects often thrive on the support of their players or users. While Path of Exile NeverSink has become an integral part of the game, another developer can look forward to sudden fame.
