Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu appeared in court today to answer to several charges.
In the courthouse in Tel Aviv, he is charged with corruption, fraud and abuse of a position of trust.
Among other things, he is suspected of accepting bribes from his millionaire friends. In addition, he is accused of promoting regulatory reforms that have benefited his media supporters. In return, the media has written positive news for him.
The trial is estimated to last three weeks.
Netanyahu denies having committed any crimes.
