The statement of the hospital where Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva was treated was shared on social media. Accordingly, Lula da Silva underwent emergency surgery to relieve bleeding on his skull, which was thought to have been caused by a fall at his home in October.
Surgery to drain a hematoma, or collection of blood, went “uneventfully.” Lula da Silva continues to receive treatment in the intensive care unit of a hospital in São Paulo.
