Doktrinen is a Swedish thriller and drama series that is currently playing on TV4 and TV4 Play. TV4 themselves describe the series as a “political thriller about a Russian influence operation aimed at Sweden.”
The series is based on the acclaimed suspense novel “Eight months” by Magnus Montelius.

The doctrine is about the journalist Nina Wedén who receives a tip from a stranger to her that causes her to reveal that the country’s foreign minister buys sex. The foreign minister is appointed and a new one takes office.
Nina is then offered the job as the new foreign minister Jacob Weiss, press secretary. During the time they work together, several things happen that put them both to the test and a hectic search for the truth. While there are threats of nuclear war.
The series consists of six parts and the cast includes several well-known names.
