Charlotte Baris: In December 2019, a strange virus was detected in China. In just a few weeks, Covid-19 spread across the world, causing many deaths. Restrictions, masks, confinements… Everywhere, the pandemic is disrupting our lives and raising a lot of questions. Today, what do we know about this disease and what remains?
For this series, we are going to delve into the archives of La Loupe: I therefore have next to me for these four podcasts a large file with sounds ready to be broadcast. In particular, we have prepared extracts from the numerous episodes devoted to Covid – more than 30 during the first months of the pandemic. There will also be reports, testimonies, expert opinions broadcast in the French media…
For their part, journalists from the Sciences department of L’Express called back their contacts, five years after their first articles on this virus, to take stock. And for good reason, during these months of social distancing, confinements, masks and vaccines, we still had many unanswered questions. And the first is obviously that of the origin of the virus. What do we know today about the emergence of the Covid 19 epidemic? The answer in this episode.
