While the whereabouts of Bashar Assad became an even bigger question mark after the regime lost control in the capital Damascus in Syria, a flight between Damascus and Latakia brought various allegations on social media.
REGIME COLLAPSE, ASSAD ESCAPEED
As the Assad regime lost control in the capital Damascus and anti-regime groups began to enter the city center, allegations that Assad left Damascus on a plane came to the fore.
TRACE OF THE PLANE LOST
Finally, on flight tracking sites on the internet, it was claimed that a plane that was last seen west of Homs after taking off from the airport in Damascus, but was later lost, was carrying Bashar Assad.
HE DROPPED WITH UNUSUAL MOVEMENTS
It was claimed that the plane in question descended to an altitude of 1600 feet and made “unusual movements” before disappearing from the radar.
PRIME MINISTER OF THE COLLAPSE REGIME: I DON’T KNOW WHERE ASSAD IS
While Assad’s whereabouts remain unclear, Prime Minister of the collapsed regime, Jalali, spoke to the Saudi Arabian television channel Al-Arabiyya. Celai said that he did not know where Assad and Abbas had been since last night.
According to AA, Celali stated that he lost communication with Assad late last night.
Meanwhile, while various claims were made in the international press that Assad had left the country, unconfirmed information was shared that he might have gone to Russia or some Middle Eastern countries.
Thousands of people around the world have recently tried to follow the route of planes flying to and from Damascus and Latakia through flight tracking programs.
