Fulham fought to a home draw against Arsenal.
Arsenal was only able to catch up with league leader Liverpool by a point, when they lost to a 1-1 away result against Fulham in the local London encounter. Arsenal, who are second in the league table, have collected 29 points and Liverpool, who have played a match less, 35.
Chelsea, who will face Tottenham away later today, are a point behind Arsenal, so they may grab second place for themselves.
Fulham got off to a strong start to Sunday’s fight, because Raul Jimenez shot the ball into the back corner with style in the 11th minute of the game. Arsenal clearly had more possession than their opponent, controlled the game and equalized in the 52nd minute William Saliban after directing the ball from in front of the goal to the perches of the net.
Arsenal has been a really strong special situation team this season and last season, and this time too their goal came after a corner kick.
At the end of the match, Arsenal’s players already had time to celebrate the lead, but Bukayo Sakan goal scored was disallowed by Gabriel Martinelli to be offside. Arsenal had won all competitions, including their last four matches, and in the Premier League their winning streak was three matches.
Fulham is in tenth place, but Tottenham may push ahead of it today.
Sunday’s two other fights saw several hits in the closing minutes.

Yankuba Minteh led Brighton to a 2–0 away lead in the 79th minute, but Leicester equalized Jamie Vardy and By Bobby De Cordova-Reid with the hits of the final moments.
