President of France Emmanuel Macron hosts Notre-Dame’s opening ceremony.
The world’s most famous cathedral was closed for five years because it burned down dramatically on April 15, 2019. The restoration work cost an estimated 700 million euros, and a couple of thousand workers participated in the difficult repair work.
For the reopening, the future president of the United States, among others, arrived in France Donald TrumpPresident of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi and the Prince of Wales representing Britain William. The outgoing First Lady of the United States was also present Jill Biden.

Trump, Zelenskyi and Macron discussed the situation in Ukraine and peace before the inauguration. They said that the cooperation will continue. Zelenskyi described the 35-minute meeting as good.
Notre-Dame was officially reopened by the Archbishop of Paris

The ceremony was opened by the famous bells of Notre-Dame.
The Archbishop of Paris officially reopened the cathedral when he knocked three times on the doors of Notre-Dame with a cane.

In his speech, French President Macron showed gratitude to those who “saved Notre-Dame”.
