Criticism hails after the Idol final: “Completely worthless”

Criticism hails after the Idol final Completely worthless

Last night it was clear that Margaux Flavet16, took home the win in Idol after she settled with Minou Nilsson and Joel Nordenberg in the final.

That makes Margaux Flavet the youngest winner in Idol history.

As the winner of Idol, you get many prizes such as the winning song “I’ll write your name across the sky”, a Universal music contract and a place on the Diggiloo tour this summer.

In the middle of the program, Minou Nilsson went out and ended up in third place.

This meant that Joel Nordenberg stood as a finalist against Margaux Flavet and as the last song in the final both had to perform the winning song, which the winner then gets.

But Joel Nordenberg told earlier this week to Happened that he wasn’t completely sold on this year’s winning song.

– It’s not a song that I had listened to, to be honest, but it’s okay, says Joel Nordenberg.

And after the final, many viewers agree with him.

On social media, congratulations are pouring in for Idol winner Margaux Flavet. But something that also pours in is the criticism of the winning song. During a series of Idol’s posts on Facebook shares their displeasure with viewers and Idol fans.

Here is some of the criticism:

“Congratulations Margaux! You deserve a better winning song though. It was so monotonous and bland, by far the worst song in the 20 years it’s been. Time to revamp the songwriting.”

“Right winner but what a boring finale and the ‘winner song’ is so bad, totally worthless, shame Margaux has to be associated with it, she deserves better with a voice like that.”

“That song didn’t suit either of them. Worst finale song of all years.”

You are so worth it. You were the best all year. But Idol, what kind of winning song was that? I’ve been watching Idol for 20 years and this was probably the worst winner’s song I’ve heard..”

“I don’t think the winning song was good at all. It lacked the power that all the other winning songs have had over the years. I don’t think any of them did it well.”
