Krista Pärmäkoski does not have high expectations for Sunday’s combined race, but she clearly expects better from next week’s competitions in Davos.

shows the Lillehammer World Cup competitions on its channels. Sunday’s broadcast on TV2, Areena and Areena starts at 10:55 a.m. with the men’s combined competition.
Krista in Pärmäkoski was quite a different preparation for Sunday’s combined competition in Lillehammer. He arrived at the race venue only on Saturday and spent Friday as president by Alexander Stubb at the Linna party hosted by
According to Pärmäkoski, the party was really nice and relaxed, even though he didn’t enjoy himself on the dance floor except for one dance.
With long conversations and a long Dining Table, he enjoyed himself all the more and was in the castle until the light signal. There were few nights’ sleep before the trip from Helsinki to Lillehammer.
– If this preparation leads to a top result, then I’ll probably have to dig out the stilettos every week for six hours as a preparatory training for the feet, Pärmäkoski laughed.
– The preparation was certainly not optimal, but I believe that the condition is good and a good performance can come from there.
Like Pasanen, Pärmäkoski is not worried
After Friday’s freestyle 10 km competition in Lillehammer, the head coach Teemu Pasanen was worried about the results of Finnish women. According to Pasanen, the gap to the top is too big on normal trips, and he is especially worried about the athletes behind the top.
Pärmäkoski does not share the head coach’s concerns, at least not yet, because he believes that the differences will even out.
– Big differences are made with skis when there is a fluoride-free time. On Friday, it looked like the Norwegians had really good skis and that’s probably why the differences were so big. Ruka again Frida (Karlsson) reportedly had superior skiing on Friday.
Pärmäkoski is also confident in his own condition, even though he has not yet finished in the top ten in the World Cup. In Ruka’s 10-kilometer traditional race, he finished 12th.
– I know that the condition is good there in the background. I can’t promise good skiing on Sunday yet, the Linna party can still have an effect, but yes, next week in Davos there should already be a good performance.
Next weekend’s Davos World Cup will be held at an altitude of just under 1,600 meters, so Pärmäkoski’s adaptation to the high altitude is a small question mark. Despite this, he clearly expects better performances.
The two-month journey began
Pärmäkoski will not return to his native Finland from Lillehammer, but will go on a two-month trip to Central Europe after the Games. He plans to spend time between World Cup competitions training at high altitude.
On the trip to Pärmäkoski, our beloved dog Edvin is also with us, for which 20 kilos of food has been packed.
– The dog is currently on the ship to Germany, hopefully in good health. Then on Monday, when I fly to Zurich, my own car and dog will be waiting, Pärmäkoski said.
