The man is known from a TV4 production in which he participated for several seasons.
On Wednesday, the profile, which was not employed by the channel, was charged with 32 counts of purchasing sexual services. At a total of 17 different Thai massage parlors, in four different cities in Sweden, he has paid for sex during 2023 and the beginning of 2024.
The TV4 profile has admitted 31 of the accused sex purchases, but could not leave a position in the last case.
The prosecutor who investigated the man says that the suspicions against him came to light when the police were actually working on a completely separate case.
The TV4 profile visited brothels
The police in a county in Central Sweden suspected that pimps were running a pimping business at a Thai massage parlor. They started a search of the salon and also sent in an undercover policeman – who acted as a customer and could confirm that sex was sold at the place.
After the infiltration and a larger investigation, the police chose to attack the Thai salon.
Then the suspicions against the TV4 profile were rolled up.
After the salon’s owner, a woman, was convicted of pimping and the main case itself had been closed, the police chose to continue analyzing the payments to the business. It was then seen that the known profile had made so-called double swipes to the brothel in question, which means that you first pay for a massage and then for sex. This after two different visits last spring.
That’s how the mass sex purchase of the TV4 profile was discovered
When police investigators examined the TV4 profiler’s mobile phone and transactions, the 30 other sex purchases were discovered.
– This is the result of a careful investigation by the police and the working method they use. I don’t want to comment further on what the analysis looks like, but it is, among other things, analysis of payment patterns, says Per Svensson.
The police have been able to see where the TV4 profile’s mobile was connected in combination with the double swish payments. The man had also identified himself on each occasion with his Bank ID.
Since it was about such a large number of sex purchases, the police chose to seize the TV4 profile last spring. He was detained for two days. The investigation led to Wednesday’s indictment. The trial is held over three days in March.
TV4 Nyheterna has unsuccessfully searched the profile for a comment. His lawyer declined to comment.
