Beastars is a Japanese animated series broadcast since 2019 in streaming. This series, which follows anthropomorphic animals, is adapted from the successful manga of the same name, published between 2016 and 2020. Produced by the Japanese studio Orange and directed by Shinichi Matsumi (Porco Rosso, Pom Poko) this series consists of three seasons.
The first two have been broadcast on the platform of the giant Netflix since 2019 and 2021 respectively, while the first part of the third season has been available since December 5, 2024. After 24 first episodes praised by critics and three years of waiting, the Netflix subscribers will, finally, watch the third part of the adventures of Legoshi, Haru and Jack and discover the new plots and characters imagined by Nanami Higuchi. The last part is broadcast in 2025.
What is the plot of Bearstars ?
At Cherryton Institute, like everywhere else, students are divided into two categories: carnivores and herbivores. Legoshi is a shy and reserved wolf who lives surrounded by carnivores, like himself. However, on the classroom benches, predators rub shoulders with their usual prey and everyone manages to get along. This precarious harmony is disrupted the day Tem, an alpaca, is murdered. While the students become suspicious of each other and the gap between carnivores and herbivores widens, Legoshi meets Haru, a little rabbit, who will question everything.
