Ikea raises the price of hot dogs thats how

Most recently, two years ago, the furniture giant Ikea raised the price of its hot dog by two kroner – from five to seven kroner. The new price of the hot dog caused so much reaction that the chain quickly withdrew the price change.

“Many people have reached out to show their love for both sausages and at the same time pointed out the inequality in the price. You are right, so we are lowering the price, again. A sausage is a sausage – regardless of shape. Always SEK 5 at IKEA,” the company wrote when.

The sausage has since kept its price at a steady five kroner. Now Ikea is once again trying to raise the price of its popular hot dog.

During the month of December, the price of Ikea’s hot dogs will double – from five kroner to ten kroner.

However, the price increase is temporary and voluntary, writes the furniture giant.

Those who want will be able to pay five kroner extra for Ikea’s hot dog, and these five kroner will go directly to Sweden’s City Missions.

“IKEA Sweden doubles the customers’ contribution and the entire amount goes to Sweden’s Stadsmissioner’s work to provide vulnerable people with both community and food at Christmas,” the company writes in a press release.

Anyone who wants can therefore continue to pay five kroner for a hot dog at Ikea.

– At IKEA, we have once and for all decided to stand on the side of the many people – helping others and creating community is in our DNA, says Emily Birkincountry manager for IKEA Sweden, in the press release.
