This year’s Christmas table will be much more expensive
Food prices have increased by 2.8 percent in one year, according to the Matpriskollen. The typical Christmas food has risen even more. Since January 1, 2022, food prices, according to Matpriskollen’s statistics, have risen by nearly 25 percent.
Matpriskollen’s list of one hundred products that are common at Christmas shows that the price of Christmas food has increased by 6 percent in one year. Everything from Christmas must to meatballs and rice porridge has become more expensive.

The public is warned of a major fire
An important notice to the public, VMA, has been issued in Oskarshamn municipality, Kalmar county. The reason is that there is a fire in a recycling facility.
The fire started in the storage of aluminum shavings, the smoke spread east towards the E22. Extinguishing work is currently underway.

SMHI warns of snow
During Tuesday morning, SMHI issued yellow warnings for snow and ice during the day. Already in the early morning, snow has fallen in large parts of Central Sweden.
In the morning, rain changes to sleet with a risk of slush. It can be difficult to get through traffic due to poor visibility and slipping.
