Always eager to offer one of the best translation tools, Google has just rolled out a feature-rich update in real time.
Anyone who has ever traveled to a country where they don’t speak the local language has probably used translation tools. Among the most used around the world, we find Google Translate which can be found on multiple smartphones. Eager to enrich its application, the Mountain View firm has just deployed several new features to allow you to translate discussions more effectively.
The new version 8.22.46 currently being deployed on compatible devices greatly enhances Google Translate in terms of responsiveness. The application now has several new features regarding real-time translation. When using the application to translate a word, it now includes:
- Displaying the definition of the translated word/term.
- Pronunciation and copy/paste icons to use them directly.
- Displaying the gender of the translated word and synonyms.
- Display of other possible translations.
Previously, these features were displayed after translating the terms or sentences you entered into the application. They are now displayed in real time to save time.
Note that these new real-time features are included with update 8.22.46, but are still being deployed. You may therefore have to wait a few days before being able to benefit from it if your device is compatible.
