(Finance) – Terna Terna Ability presentedthe vertical project for the inclusion of people with disabilities, in view of the International Day of People with Disabilities, which occurs on 3 December. Thanks to this program, the Group led by Giuseppina Di Foggia is committed to go beyond legal obligations to create the best conditions that allow people with disabilities to fit in and to participate fully in working life
The program is divided into numerous initiatives and develops into four areas of actionwith the aim of triggering a cultural change aimed at increasing awareness, breaking down stereotypes and offering new perspectives on the topic and value of disability: Culture and awareness, Recruiting & employee journey, Network and alliances, Communication internal and external.
Among the main projects launched by the Group in the four areas: the Disability Toolkita complete guide on the topic of inclusion in the company, with the concessions and benefits provided at national and company level; the Terna Ability Cornersindividual moments of listening, discussion and support with the Diversity & Inclusion function of the Human Resources management, dedicated to people with disabilities and Terna colleagues who collaborate with them on cross-functional projects; the Terna Ability Workshopsprofessional orientation courses organized by the Group in collaboration with 4 Italian universities, dedicated to male and female students, recent graduates with disabilities and DSA (Specific Learning Disorders). In particular, at the University of Roma Tre, Palermo, Salerno and Cagliarihave already been created 10 training meetings on professional and growth opportunities in the company and on tools for training one’s self-efficacy.
The Terna Ability program is part of the Group ESG Planwith which the company committed to creating a listening desk, promoting an inclusive language, raising awareness on the issue of disability and consolidating the training of those involved in personnel selection, in order to guarantee equal access opportunities.
