It is already clear that Frölunda’s coach Roger Rönnberg will leave Sweden for Switzerland next season.
Now it looks like he may be joined by another SHL coach.
According to Expressen’s information, Färjestad’s Tomas Mitell can take over a top club in the country.
Frölunda’s Roger Rönnberg53, has coached Frölunda for a full twelve seasons. There have been two SM golds and four CHL titles during the northerner’s time at the club. Now, however, he is in his last year in Gothenburg, then it’s off to the Swiss team Friborg Gotteron.
Jörgen Jönsson can replace Mitell
Rönnberg may not be the only coach to leave the SHL for Switzerland next season. Expressen now reports that another Swede may end up in the Alpine country. Tomas Mitell44, is in his fourth year in Färjestad. His contract expires after the season.

Kvällstidningen has previously written that the FBK legend Jörgen Jonssonnow in Växjö, is a hot candidate to take over Färjestad next season. Then Mitell will therefore leave the club which he has now moved up to second place in the table.
Several dream jobs for Tomas Mitell
Expressen writes that Tomas Mitell’s advisers and agents are now working on a move for him to one of Switzerland’s big clubs. Because he was an assistant coach in the NHL team Chicago Blackhawks before, he is highly sought after. Since Dan Tangnes moves home to Rögle and has broken his contract with Zug, that coaching position is vacant. Zurich has also shown interest. It could also be that Davos is looking for a manager for theirs Josh Holden going to Zug.
So it remains to be seen where Tomas Mitell will go. He will very likely leave Färjestad. But before that, he will play playoff hockey with the Värmland club for the fourth time in a row. The first year he won the SM gold outright, but the last two years it has ended in the quarter-final round.
