What’s happening in Fortnite today? Epic Games held a big concert with Snoop Dogg, Ice Spice, Eminem and Juice WRLD with all artists performing. The servers have been in maintenance since this morning and fans are eagerly waiting to get started in Fortnite. So that you know what has changed, we will show you the official patch notes.

The map of Chapter 6

Epic Games revealed its new map in the patch notes. All new POIs are listed here. In addition, you can now take a closer look at the individual biomes that Epic Games has implemented. You can visit the following places when you land:

    There should also be bosses in Chapter 6 that you can hunt and then loot. There are currently two copies that provide you with loot after their death. Her medallions in particular are powerful and very practical in battle:

  • night rose
  • Reward: Nightrose Medallion that reloads your weapons

  • Reward: Hiker Medallion, which makes you invisible while sprinting and gives you infinite stamina

    With Chapter 6, Fortnite also brings new weapons that can be purchased as better versions from dealers if you complete weapon orders. The following are known:

  • Automatic double shot shotgun

    IMPORTANT: All weapons are now hitscan in Fortnite. So you no longer have to take the fall of your bullet into account when shooting. Your bullets now travel to where you shoot.

    There is also a new katana, the Typhoon Blade. It is infused with magic and lets you deliver precise follow-up strikes while using little stamina.

    New items: Oni masks

    There should also be no shortage of items. Oni masks will give you the decisive advantage in battle. On the new map you can defeat lesser demons to get these masks from them.

    Each mask has its own effects. So far only two are known:

  • Fire Oni Mask
  • Effect: Throw homing fireballs at your opponents, dealing massive damage
  • Void Oni Mask
  • Effect: Allows you to be teleported

    In Chapter 6 there will also be nature spirits that can help you in battle or give you bonuses. Epic Games has presented three copies:

  • Air spirits can be thrown to create a whirlwind that can launch you into the air. You can unfold your glider again if you are thrown up. The whirlwind can also damage buildings and catapult vehicles into the air.
  • Water spirits can be thrown to create a healing fountain that restores health and shields to all nearby players.
  • Earth spirits consume the items you feed them and give you a reward in return.

    • Additionally, you can take spirits with you and revive forgotten shrines to receive blessings. The following are known:

  • Fire blessing – Reloads weapons faster.
  • Void Blessing – Eliminates players to see more nearby players.
  • Wind blessing – Move faster while you have the pickaxe equipped.
  • Water blessing – When swimming, you and nearby teammates gain health and shields.

    • These blessings remain even after your death.

    New Vehicle: Rogue Motorcycle and Void Burn

    There will also be a new motorcycle with which you can race through the streets of the new map. The Rogue motorcycle was designed so that you can do perfect wheelies. If you like cars more, then the two-door “Void-Burn” might be just the thing for you.

    The parkour has been expanded

    While fans were initially only able to jump over low objects, they can now perform new stunts to pursue their targets or escape their enemies. The following movement options are now available:

  • Pike jump:
  • Lets you perform a dive at the right speed and near an edge or cliff.
  • Roll landing:
  • If you hold down the jump button or press it just before hitting the ground when falling, you will roll and restore some stamina at the same time.
  • Wall step:
  • When you jump in the air against a vertical surface next to you, you perform a wall kick. Use wall kicks to jump away from the wall in the direction of your choice.
  • Wall race:
  • When you jump into a vertical surface in front of you, you perform a wall run action. Reach the extremely high ledge by taking a few steps up the wall.
