Romania is voting today in the parliamentary elections after a surprise presidential election round.
Last Sunday, the country held the first round of the presidential election, from which surprise candidates advanced to the second round. For example, the prime minister, who is considered the pre-favorite of the presidential candidates Marcel Ciolacu was eliminated in the second round.
However, Ciolacu’s Social Democratic Party is the favorite to win the parliamentary elections in opinion polls.
The first predictions about the election result are expected after nine in the evening.
