AFP Clashes started again at the Parliament House in Georgia

The news agency AFP reports that flames are pouring out of the window of the parliament building.

In Georgia, pro-EU demonstrators and the police have again clashed violently in front of the parliament building in the capital, Tbilisi, reports news agency AFP.

Masked police officers in riot gear fired, among other things, rubber bullets and tear gas at the protesters. Demonstrators, in turn, threw fireworks. AFP also reports that flames are pouring out of the window of the parliament building.

reporter who follows events in the city Antti Kuronen said earlier that in the evening there were already hundreds of riot police and water cannons against the demonstrators at the parliament building.

For the second night in a row, there were tens of thousands of people on the streets of the capital demonstrating their opinion. The target has been the government’s decision to freeze Georgia’s EU membership negotiations.

The news is updated.
