Opposite was Hana Haidar’s bookstore. It was on television that she recognized the gutted front of her store. He had to wait for the ceasefire to be able to come. “ When I see this destruction, it’s true that it saddens me, but what pained me the most were the young people who died here. We can replace everything, but not souls. Thank God, me and my children had nothing… », explains Hana Haidar.
In the immediate future, the bookseller would like to secure what remains of the store to protect the books, with the sole help of her two sons. No state services are visible on the streets of Nabatieh.
