Israel’s airstrike on a vehicle carrying World Central Kitchen workers forces the aid organization to suspend its operations in Gaza, the aid organization says in X.

According to the US-based World Central Kitchen, it does not have accurate information about what has happened to the organization’s employees. The aid organization calls the situation “unimaginable” for the workers’ families and colleagues.

According to the Israeli Armed Forces the reason for the airstrike was that a “terrorist” who worked for the World Central Kitchen was traveling in the vehicle Hazmi Kadihwhich Israel claims was involved in the October 7 terrorist attack on Israel.

According to Israel, the attack was the result of long intelligence work.

According to the World Central Kitchen, the organization has had no information that any of the occupants of the car had alleged connections to the terrorist attack on October 7.
