American alpine skiing star With Mikaela Shiffrin had a chance to win his hundredth race in the World Cup in Killington’s giant slalom.
After the first lap, the American’s chances looked good, as he was leading the race. The home crowd expected Shiffrin to break a wild streak, but they got reason to worry.
In the second round, he fought for the win, until he crashed at the end of the race in a nasty way.
Shiffrin seemed hurt by the situation. He was treated on the side of the track. However, there is no information on the severity of the possible injury.
Sweden won the competition Sarah Hectorwhich was second after the opening round. Women’s slalom will be contested in Killington tomorrow.
