Fighter planes of the Russian and Syrian armed forces have bombed rebels in the suburbs of Aleppo on Saturday, two Syrian military sources told news agency Reuters.
A rebel coalition led by the jihadist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham captured the neighborhood on Friday.
According to Reuters sources, Russia and Syria also bombed rebel positions in several smaller towns and villages.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which monitors the war in Syria, the rebels have taken control of most of Aleppo.
