The new ski season is finally underway.
Then Calle Halfvarsson is immediately furious.
The Swedish veteran now directs criticism at the rival.
As we have longed for and now the ski season is finally starting again. The premiere of the World Cup in Ruka is over and we got to see a Finnish home victory that broke the Norwegian dominance.
The blue and white home run Iivo Niskanen made all Finns overjoyed when he won the 10 kilometer race ahead of five(!) Norwegians behind him. The Swedish jump Calle Halfvarsson was long good in the race.

But finally had to give up and finished in twelfth place, instead becoming the best Swedish men’s skater Jens Burman in seventh place. Now the drama that all TV viewers missed and which has made Halfvarsson furious is being revealed.
“It was cat shit”
The Swedish veteran took the back of the American rival Zak Ketterson in the ski track. Calle would never have done that…
– I was quite annoyed with him, he admits to Expressen.
– I don’t know what he was doing. If he knows I’m behind, he can’t put the poles in the hill, I said: “You have to get up with your poles”. Now I was about to fall instead. I got off track and it was just cat shit from everything downhill. Unfortunately. I probably lost a little there, both he and I lost it.

Calle Halfvarsson was several times eager to overtake the American but never took that chance and suffered from it instead.
– He didn’t really have his head with him today when we were going downhill, says the national team skier in the interview.
On Saturday, Halfvarsson gets a chance for revenge when it’s time for the sprint in Ruka.
