Cryptocurrency entrepreneur Justin Sun made good on his promise on Friday when he ate an art banana that cost millions of euros.
It was a work of art where a banana was taped to the wall. Sun had paid 6.2 million dollars for the banana, or just under 5.9 million euros.
Sun enjoyed his expensive fruit in front of dozens of journalists and social media influencers in a Hong Kong luxury hotel.
– This is much better than other bananas. It’s really good, Sun said after the first taste.
Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan had created a banana piece called “Comedian”. It was sold at auction in New York last week. In addition to Sun, six other people made offers for the work.
