Adler sued the municipality of Norrköping – today came the district court’s verdict

The District Court rules in favor of the municipality and “dismisses the claims in their entirety”.

“Synthesis Analytics AB and Niclas Adler shall jointly and severally reimburse Norrköping Municipality’s legal costs with SEK 1,544,800 plus interest,” writes the court.

SVT Nyheter Öst is looking for Niclas Adler for a comment.

An appeal must be submitted to the Göta Court of Appeal by December 20 at the latest. In the Court of Appeal, leave to appeal is required.

Dubai as a role model

In August 2018, Synthesis Analytics bought the old power plant Marviken out in Vikbolandet from Vattenfall. In February 2019, the project Archipelago City Marviken was presented and Niclas Adler then described how the power plant would be transformed into a small city with Dubai as a model.

– 1000-1200 homes, hotels, restaurants, nursing homes and rehab centers, said Niclas Adler at the presentation.

The municipality received warning signals

In November 2020, the chairman of the municipal board Lars Stjernkvist (S) decided to end the collaboration with Adler and Synthesis Analytics.

– We had received many warning signals that it was a shaky project and a company with many question marks, Lars Stjernkvist told SVT at the time.

The report prepared for the municipality showed that Adler’s corporate group was, among other things, over-leveraged, had tax debts and could be linked to Chinese interests.
