Kaba Diawara and Lappé Bangoura, former coaches of the Guinea football team, are among the four candidates to find this position.
The Guinean Football Federation (Féguifoot) announced that it had received four applications for the vacant post of coach of the national Syli, this Friday, April 15, deadline for sending files. In accordance with the criteria of Féguifoot, there are four Guinean technicians.
We find, without surprise, Kaba Diawara, in post during the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon and the international truce in March. The former Bordeaux and Paris Saint-Germain player is a favorite with Lappe Bangoura. The latter, already coach between 2016 and 2018, has since taken the local Syli to the semi-finals of CHAN 2020, in Cameroon, with a bronze medal.
A former captain and an unknown complete the list
The other two candidates do not have this number one coaching experience: Morlaye Soumah, ex-captain of the selection, was Michel Dussuyer’s assistant between 2010 and 2015; Moussa Théa has coached youth teams in England and has never been a professional player.
A commission will meet this Wednesday, April 20 “to examine the various files”.
