Biden Russias Latest Attack Shows Urgency to Support Ukraine

On Thursday, Russia bombed Ukraine’s energy grid with almost 200 missiles and drones, as a result of which a million people were left without electricity.

President of the United States Joe Biden said Thursday that Russia’s latest airstrike in Ukraine was “outrageous.”

– The attack reminds us once again how urgent and important it is to support the people of Ukraine in their defense against the Russian attack, Biden said in his statement.

On Thursday, Russia bombed Ukraine’s energy grid with almost 200 missiles and drones, as a result of which a million people were left without electricity.

Biden emphasized in his statement that the United States will stand by Ukraine.

– The United States and 50 other countries continue to support Ukraine in its fight for freedom, Biden said in a statement released by the White House.

In recent weeks, Biden has emphasized his strong support for Ukraine. His followers Donald Trump’s is believed to bring changes to the US-Ukraine relationship.

Ukraine’s armed forces have received nearly $60 billion in support from the United States since Russia launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine in February 2022.

Trump has said he will negotiate a ceasefire with the president of Ukraine to Volodymyr Zelensky and the President of Russia Vladimir Putin between and thus bring a quick end to the war.

Trump can push for concessions

Trump’s critics have warned that the incoming president is likely to use US military support to pressure Ukraine into a deal favorable to Russia.

As a result of such an agreement, Ukraine might, for example, permanently lose territories occupied by Russia or have to agree that the country will not join the military alliance NATO.

Trump announced on Wednesday that he had chosen the retired general by Keith Kellogg Special Envoy of Ukraine. Kellogg said in an interview published in July that he considers Ukraine’s options completely clear.

– If Ukraine does not want to negotiate, that’s fine. But after that they have to accept the immense losses in their cities, accept the fact that their children are dying and accept that instead of 130,000 dead they have 230,000-250,000 dead.

According to Kellogg, the United States should also seek to use military aid to pressure Ukraine to participate in peace talks.
