Frank Lampard is looking for a boost to his coaching

Frank Lampard takes command of Coventry, who play in the English championship series.

The player size of the London football club Chelsea Frank Lampard returns to the roots of his head coaching career in the English Championship.

Coventry, who are bottom of the league in 17th place, named Lampard as their new head coach on Thursday. Lampard succeeds the sacked in the task Mark Robinswho guided Coventry handsomely to the FA Cup semi-finals last season.

Lampard has not coached since the 2022-2023 season, when he served as Chelsea’s interim manager for the last few months. The former midfielder made a successful start to his head coaching career at Championship side Derby in 2018-2019, but the subsequent spell at Chelsea saw him sacked after 18 months. Lampard’s tenure as head coach at Everton in the Premier League also ended with dismissals in January 2023.

Lampard, 46, who won three Premier League titles in his playing career, is Chelsea’s all-time top scorer with 211 goals.
