Ice cream truck drivers and criminal brothers are sentenced in a major drug case in Stockholm

The investigation revealed that the brothers took advantage of vulnerable people in the community to deal in drugs and weapons.

– These are people who may have experienced many times that they had no other choice but to stand up, says Linnéa Allheim, head of investigations at the intelligence section in Stockholm.

Drove an ice cream van during the day – drugs for families with children at night

A 62-year-old man, who drove an ice cream van during the day and distributed drugs at night, was part of the network.

– During one weekend, we were able to follow as the man went around to different addresses around the Stockholm region and delivered boxes to both younger and older people, including a family with children, says detective leader Erik Lindén.

During subsequent intervention, it was discovered that large quantities of narcotics were in the boxes.

19 people receive a total of 86 years in prison

The largest seizure was made in March earlier this year. The police had observed the brothers visiting the home of a particularly vulnerable person. When the police raided the person’s apartment, they found 330 kilos of narcotics, as well as weapons and explosives.

A total of 19 people have been sentenced in the drug ring, to a total of 86 years in prison. The two criminal brothers were jailed for five years and five months.
