Diablo 4 Necromancer Bone Spirit Build – the best skill for the endgame

The Necromancer is considered one of the best classes for the end game in Diablo 4. One skill has an explosive nature, and that is the Bone Spirit. We’ll show you a strong build that will help you get through the content easily.

Update, November 28, 2024: The article was originally published in June 2023. We have revised and adapted it for Season 6.

What kind of build is this? The Bone Spirit build for the Necromancer, when used correctly, can gather enemies and then blow them up with a disastrous explosion. Usually just one explosion is enough to destroy your opponents. This build is particularly suitable for solo players who want to farm in the open world of Sanctuary. In Season 6, the Bone Spirit build is one of the strongest endgame builds in Diablo 4.

  • Necromancer Bone Spirit Build: Gameplay

This is how you play the build: With the bone prison you lock groups of enemies in one area and regenerate essence with each captured enemy. The Unique Boots Path of Trag’Oul ensure that bone shards are shot at the captured monsters.

In addition, you release your bone spirit onto the prison to kill the opponents. You will in turn receive essence and reduce your cooldown time for the skill if you hit critically.

On groups and bosses, you use your ultimate skill, Soul Rift, to deal enormous damage. Here you will also receive essence again and an additional barrier. In doing so, you make opponents vulnerable and increase your damage – even after the soul tear ends.

Use your corpse vines to pull enemies together and corpse explosions whenever you can to maintain corpse-related buffs. If you receive too much damage or are subjected to a control effect, use your blood mist. If you generate corpses, you will immediately use a corpse explosion at that position.

Elixirs also help you to increase your armor or your resistance to certain types of damage. If you forget to use it, here’s a trick to help you:

These mercenaries are suitable for the build: The mercenaries that came into play with Vessel of Hatred support you in battles with healing and attacks. There are a total of four different mercenaries that you get to know and unlock over the course of the campaign.

For the build we recommend Raheir as a mercenary and Varyana as a combat reinforcement:

  • Various uniques are important for the build in order to use certain affixes and develop skills. You get the uniques in various endgame activities in Diablo 4, but you can also farm them specifically from the bosses on the torment levels.
