(Finance) – “Among the duties expressly provided for by our Constitution there is a very important one that I want to recall: contributing to public expenses, each according to their ability to contribute. A mandatory duty that recalls another equally fundamental one, always provided for by the Constitution , that of economic solidarity”. The Minister of Economy said this, Giancarlo Giorgetti, speaking at the Financial Legality Day at the General Headquarters of the Guardia di Finanza. “In fact – he added – only through the fair and faithful fulfillment of fiscal duties by taxpayers can the State collect the resources to satisfy public needs”.
“Financial education must not be the prerogative of a few experts in the field, but rather a right guaranteed to everyone. A sort of compass to guide our decisions”.
“Possessing adequate knowledge to better manage one’s economic resources helps first of all to give the right value to money and therefore to savings to invest and build a solid and peaceful future with confidence and knowledge” underlined the Minister who, recalling the words of the President Mattarella on the occasion of the 100th World Savings Day, he reiterated how saving is “an individual and collective good at the same time, a value for the future of families and the country protected by our Constitution”.
