A celebration of support for the hospital, a set of hoodies, crew-necks, T-shirts and long sleeved shirts have been created in partnership with a local clothing brand – The Folk – as a way to help the hospital foundation.
Created in four styles and three colors each, they say “The Heart of Healthcare Folk”.
Launching on Dec. 3, the collection will be a limited-edition set offered in red, navy or sand colors through Eric Pond Designs.
“By purchasing and wearing these items,” said a hospital news release, “you’re not just adding a cozy piece to your wardrobe – you’re showing your support for NGH and standing up for local healthcare.”
The campaign urges buyers to “snap a photo” of themselves in one of the shirts and share it with the hashtag #HeartofHealthcare to show they are standing up for local healthcare.

Each purchase also helps the hospital purchase new medical equipment, upgrade and expand healthcare spaces and invest in training workers.
Those areas, particularly buying new or replacement hospital equipment, are not covered by government funding, leaving hospitals to rely on donations through their foundations.
Anyone not interested in the shirts can still support the hospital with a donation on Giving Tuesday, which is a day promoted for people to support causes that matter to them.
“This year, we’re asking you to choose NGH as your cause,” said a news release.
