Which game are you talking about? New Arc Line is a classic role-playing game that was released on Steam on November 26, 2024. As in Baldur’s Gate 3, you create a character with an individual background and explore a fantasy world. Battles are also turn-based and the outcome of certain actions is rolled.
Unlike Baldur’s Gate 3, however, there is a lot of steampunk in New Arc Line. The launch trailer for Early Access shows what this looks like and what effects it has:

Industrial revolution in a fantasy world
What is the game about? In search of a cure for your family, you travel to the city of New Arc. An industrial steampunk revolution is taking place there: factories and machines dominate the cityscape and it is not dragons that fly through the air, but zeppelins.
Technological progress brings prosperity, but it also replaces the old, magical world of elves and dwarves. As the story progresses, you decide for yourself which side you belong to and whose powers you want to use for your own benefit.
Whether with a silver tongue, nimble fingers or muscle strength: how you work your way up from the bottom is up to you. In any case, you are not alone, because in the city you will find companions, friends and even lovers.
What does Early Access include? The version you currently receive is manageable in scope. There are only two playable races and two classes. According to the developers on Steam, the current version only contains around a quarter of the main story and some side quests.
There aren’t many reviews for Early Access at the moment, but the few that do exist are already 86% positive. Many players think that New Arc Line already shines in worldbuilding and shows great potential. In terms of scope, however, you still get very little on offer.
Who is the game worth playing for? At this point, New Arc Line is worth it if you want to support the developers during the early access phase. But also be prepared for the fact that you will have seen everything that the game currently offers quite quickly.
