(Finance) – Institutional trip of the President of Enac Pierluigi Di Palma and the Central Director Claudio Eminente in Kuwaitwhere they were welcomed by an authoritative delegation composed of the Italian Ambassador to Kuwait, Lorenzo Morini, his Deputy Head of Mission Carlo Tidu, the Director General of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) of Kuwait Duaij Khalaf Al-Otaibi , and by the Deputy Director General for Aviation Safety & Air Transport Affairs of the DGCA, Abdullah Fadous Al-Rajhi.
As part of the first day’s meetings, President Di Palma signed with the President of the Kuwait DGCA, Humoud Mubarak HJ Al-Sabaha Memorandum of Understanding for the start of bilateral technical cooperation in the field of civil aviation, especially on safety and security issues. “The visit was an excellent opportunity to further strengthen cooperation between Italy and Kuwait and to support the development of common paths. The objective is to help initiate new growth opportunities for both countries, not only for the airline sector, but for the entire economy”, declared Di Palma.
The Italian delegation also visited the offices of LAScompany of Leonardo from the Eurofighter. During the second day of the visit, the delegation met the Chairman Capt. Abdulmohsen Salem Alfagaan, and the CEO Capt. Ahmad M. Alkreebani, at the Kuwait Airways headquarters. A technical inspection was then carried out at the Kuwait International Airportalso visiting the Kuwait Control and Meteorological Center.
At the end of the visit techniquePresident Di Palma and the Eminent Director, always accompanied by the Italian Ambassador to Kuwait, Lorenzo Moriniwere received by Ambassador Sadiq Marafi, Foreign Minister Assistant Europe Affairs, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait.
President Di Palma: “The relations and aeronautical cooperation between our countries are further consolidated by the meetings of these days. I would like to express my sincere gratitude, on my part and that of ENAC, for this invitation and I hope for the expansion as soon as possible of air connections between Italy and Kuwait also in light of the strategic positions held by the two countries Europe and in the Peninsula Arabica“.
Further meetings took place with Mishaal AlUsaimi, CEO of Boodai Corporationand with Barathan Pasupathi, CEO of Jazeera Airways.
At the end of yesterday, President Di Palma and the Eminent Director participated in a dinner organized by Ambassador Lorenzo Morini in honor of the consolidation of relations between the two Authorities, with the DG of the DGCA Eng. Duaij Khalaf Al present at the meeting. -Otaibi.
