In Guinea, the “Inclusive Consultation Framework” between political actors and members of civil society was launched on Friday, April 15, in Conakry, by Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya, president of the transition since the coup that overthrew Alpha Condé, on September 5th. This framework, so demanded by the political class, is supposed to establish discussions to end the transition, but it has been boycotted by certain major political parties.

In the room, there were major absentees including the former ruling party, the RPG of Alpha Condé, and the G58 coalition of Cellou Dalein Diallo and Sidya Touré. All demand that this dialogue framework be supervised by an international observer.
Failing to respond favorably to this request, Prime Minister Mohamed Béavogui still leaves the door open to their participation: “ It is clear that some of those who must take part in these consultations are not there. We must therefore work to make this framework as inclusive as possible and ensure that they join us. »
Beyond the notable absence of the main political parties, other parties were present, such as Lansana Kouyaté’s PEDN and Ousmane Kaba’s PADES. Mohamed Béavogui welcomes this: I sincerely thank all those who are present. This presence is eloquent proof of your commitment to dialogue. I ask those who are not yet around the table to join us. »

Junta leader Colonel Mamadi Doumbouya, who launched the dialogue framework, said it will not be diverted from its objective: “ We will stop at nothing for reforms, to help our country. We will do the dirty work: clean up our country, fight corruption in all its forms. All those who are linked to the mismanagement will answer to the people of Guinea. »
For those absent, including the FNDC, the government is creating a diversion by offering yet another framework for consultation instead of a framework for political dialogue.
