Paris SG, which had to win in Munich, was beaten (0-1) by Bayern on Tuesday November 26 during the 5th day of the Champions League. Three days before the end of the qualifying phase, elimination in the first round hangs in the face of the Parisians.

There is still hope, but it is slim. Like the thread on which Paris Saint-Germain hangs, beaten by Bayern Munich (0-1) and more than ever under the threat of early elimination in the Champions League.
The data was however clear for Luis Enrique’s men: with only four units in four days, Paris had to win in Bavaria to hope to qualify for the 16th finals. Except that the opponent, Bayern, remained on three consecutive victories against PSG, and above all needed points as much as their host.
Safonov at fault…
In a meeting more controlled by the Munich residents against the Parisians who had their chance, the difference was made on a corner on which the Parisian goalkeeper Safonov is not exempt from all reproaches. His poor clearance with both fists actually benefited Korean defender Kim Min-Jea who opened the scoring with a header (38th).
Safonov, the gamble of Luis Enrique who had decided to bench the usual starter, the Italian Gianluigi Donnarumma, will nevertheless have kept his team alive. As in this magnificent parade on a shot from Jamal Musiala which ends up on his post (74th).
PSG, clumsy as in these previous outings (only three goals scored) could have hoped for better, but the exclusion of Ousmane Dembélé for accumulating yellow cards, ended up ruining the French club’s offensive chances from the 56th minute.
It is a defeat which places PSG, the undisputed leader of Ligue 1, a little more in a very bad position with a 26th place out of 36, which eliminates it for the moment from the race for the play-offs (16th final). Bradley Barcola and his team have three games left, against Salzburg, Manchester City and Stuttgart, to avoid an industrial disaster and elimination in the first round; the first of the Qatari era in the Champions League.
Brest tamed by FC Barcelona
Brest were beaten 3-0 (halftime: 1-0) by largely dominant Barcelona on matchday five of the Champions League league stage, losing their unbeaten run in the competition on Tuesday in Catalonia.
Barcelona opened the scoring with a penalty converted by Robert Lewandowski who wrong-footed Marco Bizot for his 100th goal in the premier competition of European football. Dani Olmo doubled the lead by scoring from close range after controlling a low cross from the left (66th). Lewandowski achieved the double in added time by scoring from close range after a mix-up by the Brest defense (90+2).
