The second season of the League of Legends series Arcane delights fans, but also faces criticism for its high pace. The series creator Christian Linke has now reacted and shows understanding.
What is the criticism? The majority of viewers are also enthusiastic about the second season of the LoL series Arcane, but some criticize it. Because the events happen too quickly for some fans this season.
Too many storylines were opened up that, at best, should be continued in another season. Especially compared to the first season, which set a much slower pace and took time for developments, the latest season now seems rushed.
In our video we tell you how much the Arcane series cost:
This is how the series maker reacts to the criticism
What does the series creator say? Christian Linke said, among other things, the following in an interview with Gamesradar+:
I respect that people are voicing that. You’re right – the vast majority of the audience seems happy. But there are people who say, ‘It’s rushed. What’s going on here?’
He further explained that the second season was approached differently overall. They wanted to take certain risks and ventures and so the episodes were structured differently than we were used to from the first season.
Christian Linke also said that although the fans’ disappointment didn’t make him happy, he would respect their displeasure. At the same time, he added that you can never please everyone anyway.
Some fans wanted more champions and storyline and others felt that far too much had already happened.
There are people who say it’s too rushed, too busy. And then there’s the other side: ‘Where’s Camille? She belongs to Piltover. Where is Blitzcrank? Where is Twitch? Why didn’t you install them?’
He concluded his statement by saying that those involved in the series would all do their best to bring in the right amount of story.
Even though Arcane received some criticism around the second season, the series is still a presentable series adaptation of a video game. You can find out what happens after the series in this article: Riot explains what happens after the end of Arcane – 3 more series planned
