Residents can leave non-perishable food items, hygiene products, new toys, and other donations outside their doorsteps by noon on Saturday, The Gift CK said in a release.
“Volunteers will pick up the donations, ensuring every contribution reaches local families and individuals who need support,” organizers said.
Due to the Dresden Night Market on Saturday, donation pickups in Dresden will take place Dec. 1, with donations being picked up beginning at noon.
Signs are on display throughout the community as a reminder to “get involved and share the joy of giving,” organizers said.
Community involvement has been at the heart of The Gift CK’s success for the last five years, organizers said.
“The Gift is a true reflection of Chatham-Kent’s community spirit,” said executive director Brent Wilken, in the release.

“Every person has the chance to be part of something extraordinary. Whether donating, volunteering, or spreading the word, everyone can make an impact.”
Residents are encouraged to sign up at TheGiftCK.ca to volunteer to help collect and distribute donations. Businesses are also invited to contribute through donations, in-kind support, and team-building opportunities.
“This event showcases Chatham-Kent’s generosity and unity,” said event co-ordinator Dakota Hodgson in the release. “Every item, every hour volunteered, and every act of kindness helps create unforgettable memories and ensures no one in our community feels left behind this holiday season.”
