The Crown Princess Victoria has done her first interview since starting officer training. During the autumn, she started her special officer training after having studied basic soldier training for a year within the Armed Forces.
In an interview with the reporter Anders Pihlblad from TV4’s “Nyhetsmorgon”, she says that officer training feels particularly relevant given the situation in the outside world.
– I have always wanted to complete this education. The prevailing situation in the world is a part, but also our membership in NATO, which has caused the armed forces to undergo major changes. This feels more relevant than ever, she tells the channel.

– The armed forces are undergoing major changes and for me it feels important to keep up with and understand the complexity and scope of the change, says the Crown Princess to TV4’s reporter.

It wasn’t long ago that TV4’s Anders Pihlblad interviewed none other than the crown princess’s father, the king Carl XVI Gustaf.
Even then, a large part of the interview dealt with the uncertainty in the outside world. The king was actually on site at the Fortifications Agency, where they were refurbishing.
– I see the whole thing as a very positive development which unfortunately depends on the situation in the outside world. We must also be able to harmonize against NATO’s various requirements, he told TV4 at the time.

Filip Rydstroma soldier with the Stockholm Amphibious Regiment and one of Crown Princess Victoria’s teachers, seems to be very pleased with his student.
– She is curious and a quick learner, he says to “Nyhetsmorgon”.
The Crown Princess herself is satisfied with the education – but a little surprised by one thing.
– The amount of books you have to plow through, she says the channel and laughs.

Didn’t get “If the crisis or the war comes”?
The MSB’s new brochure has just started to land in households around Sweden.
It discusses advice on what to do in the event of an evacuation, how to stop bleeding, advice for people who need extra support, to deal with anxiety, preparedness for pets and advice on how to talk to children about crisis and war.

But they are far from all who have received it. However, they need not worry. MSB writes the following on its website:
“They are sent out by postcode. If you have not received a brochure by the end of November, you can contact the distributor, who it is depends on which postcode you belong to (CityMail or Postnord).”
