In Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the XM4 has been part of the meta for weeks. Now the assault rifle could be even better for some players.
What weapon is it about? The XM4, one of the assault rifles in Black Ops 6. It is one of the most popular weapons and has been part of the Black Ops 6 meta since its release
Now the XM4 could be particularly attractive for players who want to play the assault rifle at longer distances.
New attachment eliminates the XM4’s recoil
How did the weapon get even better? The “Hit List” event is currently running in Black Ops 6, in which the community can unlock various content if they collectively achieve enough kills. At this event, CoD players reached a milestone and unlocked the new weapon attachment “Bufferweight Stock”.
The buffer weight stock reduces the recoil of a weapon at the expense of mobility and ZV speed (sight time), but cannot be equipped on all weapons. You can use the stock on the XM4, the XMG and the DM-10.
The attachment makes the XM4 a very strong fully automatic option at longer distances, as the recoil is extremely easy to control with the buffer weight stock. For example, compared to the “Balanced Stock”, the horizontal recoil is a whopping 60% less.
Not for aggressive players
Why is it only better for some players? The new attachment will primarily provide you with an improvement if you fight a lot at medium to long distances and have difficulty hitting your opponents due to the recoil.
If you primarily fight at short distances and attack your opponents aggressively, then the new attachment will not give you any advantage – the recoil of the XM4 is easy to control at just a few meters anyway.
Since you lose mobility and ZV speed with the buffer weight shaft, you should use a different shaft for short distances. Here we present you such a build for the XM4: CoD Black Ops 6: XM4 Build – This is how you should play the all-rounder
