Jonas Andersson thought that SVT colleague Håkan Loob was drunk when they recorded Hockey Night earlier last fall.
The reason was that he believed that SHL newcomer Brynäs could challenge for the gold.
Now the expert apologizes and explains Loob as a genius instead.
This season’s newcomer in the SHL, the classic club Brynäs, has made a brilliant start this year. After 20 rounds played, they lead the league, which of course few people believed beforehand. One who, however, suspected that the Gävle club would fight at the top of the table was Håkan Loob.
Jonas Andersson admits his mistake
When Loob puffed that Brynäs could challenge for the SM gold, the expert colleague thought first Jonas Andersson that the varmlander was completely behind the float. Or even worse than that. In the latest episode of Hockey Night, Jonas Andersson admitted that he was wrong about Loob and Brynäs.

When he, Dusan Umicevic and Johanna Dahlén was asked in the studio whether Brynäs can win gold this year, he was forced to be brutally honest.
– When Håkan Loob said that a while ago, I thought he was drunk, or high or something. No, I didn’t think so. But I almost thought it was inappropriate. Now I don’t think so anymore. He is the one who gets the stamp of genius here, he says in the program.
The SVT experts pay tribute to Brynäs
Now even Jonas Andersson thinks that Brynäs is a team to be reckoned with.
– They actually have a solid team and they play solid ice hockey which means they will be able to join and challenge the top teams
Colleague Johanna Dahlén agrees and also holds Brynäs in high regard this year.
– They have all these parts that are required. And what is important and has been more important in the past, is that these players, they have so much Brynäs heart in them. They do so much for each other. I think that is underestimated, she says.
