Aces defenseman Valtteri Lipiäinen has received the longest ban in the hockey league of the fall season.
The ice hockey league’s disciplinary delegation has suspended Ässie Valtteri Lipiäinen the four-game suspended Pelicans forward Ryan Laschin about doing.
According to Tilannehuone’s report, in the third period of Sunday’s Ässät–Pelicans match, Lipiäinen tackled a puckless Lasch.
In the match, Lipiäinen was sentenced to a major penalty and a match penalty (5+PR) for an illegal tackle to the head or neck.
According to the disciplinary team, there was a tackle on the player without the puck, which only hit the head.
The delegation also states that “the tackle came from a blind corner”, and that the act had “recklessly endangered the opponent’s player”, who also had to stop in the middle of the match.
