    New attacks in Beirut pending ceasefire

    Israeli attacks once again thundered across Beirut’s southern suburbs, while Israel and Hezbollah are said to be very close to a ceasefire.

    A total of 31 people have been killed in Israeli attacks on Lebanon during Monday, Lebanese authorities say.

    Israel’s military says it struck “about 25 terrorist targets” belonging to the Shiite militia Hezbollah across the country – including Nabatieh, Baalbek, the Bekaa Valley and southern Beirut.

    The result can be seen in the thick clouds and fireballs seen in pictures from Lebanon during Monday afternoon.

    A car drove into a pothole on Järntorget in Gothenburg this evening.
