New season of The Masked Singer – that’s why fans are disappointed with the cast

New season of The Masked Singer – thats why fans

The Masked Singer kicked off season 11 with a double episode. On Saturdays and Sundays there was a show with 5 celebrity candidates at prime time. Whoever received the fewest calls from the audience had to leave the show straight away. That’s why two unfortunate stars were hit at the weekend. You can read about which celebrities were under the masks and what the community is saying about the season opener here.

Battle of the guessing teams: The Masked Singer jury is going all out

Everything is new in the jury of The Masked Singer: week after week, two guessing teams will compete against each other. One rate duo is there throughout the season: Presenter Palina Rojinski (39) and rock star Rea Garvey (51).

Each episode they are then challenged by a changing guessing duo.

On Saturday, The Voice of Germany jury members Yvonne Catterfeld (44) and Kamrad (27) tried their luck. On Sunday a famous YouTuber duo arrived: the twins Heiko and Roman Lochmann (25).

Unmasked on The Masked Singer on Saturday: This celebrity was under the rhino mask

When he appeared, the rhino was immediately noticeable because of his massive stature: there was no doubt that there was a man under the costume. The performance of the song “Get The Party Started” by rock singer P!nk was really well received, but Rea Garvey still didn’t believe that there was a professional singer under the mask.

In the end, Yvonne Catterfeld and Kamrad chose Hollywood legend Ralf Möller, while Rea Garvey and Palina Rojinski chose handball bad boy Stefan Kretzschmar. Garvey and Rojinski weren’t so wrong: Handball world champion Pascal “Pommes” Hens was under the rhino mask.

On Sunday, Ms. Lauch will be dumped: This celebrity was kicked out of The Masked Singer

The tall vegetable performed one of the most successful German hit songs ever: “Mambo No. 5” by Lou Bega. By the way, the leek even set a record for the German version of The Masked Singer: At 3.50 m tall, the leek is the largest costume in the show so far.

The jury remains in the dark until the end and has no idea who could be hiding behind the smile. Palina Rojinski and Rea Garvey believe that comedy legend Martina Hill is up to mischief as a leek. The jury competition also guesses a comedienne: their “light feeling” says that it could be Hazel Brugger.

But no one would have expected this surprise: Presenter Madita van Hülsen (43) is under the leek mask.which is known through the TV magazine Adventure Life. Her defeat bothers her: “I’m a little close to tears.”

This is what the fans are saying about the start of The Masked Singer: Not enough celebrity factor?

One Instagram user finds it sad that the rhino had to be the first to go. Although the singing wasn’t that great, the performance still created a good atmosphere: “It’s such a shame that the audience doesn’t vote based on entertainment value. The rhino was my favorite mask.” The performance of the leek was also really well received. One user emphasizes that you could feel how much fun Madita von Hülsen had on stage: “She lived it and loved it.”

Unfortunately, the reveal was still disappointing for manybecause they didn’t know the celebrities at all. In a show where the audience is supposed to actively guess, it is inappropriate to have relatively unknown TV stars appear. A user expresses her anger:

How are you supposed to come up with that? Please choose celebrities or singers who are really well known.

Another user simply comments: “Who is that supposed to be?”

Fans also don’t like the fact that the jury duos now have to fight each other. An Instagram user is disappointed with the season opener:

I always enjoyed watching this show! But now?! Now four of them are sitting there, puzzling, the time is dragging on. Artificial beef with each other is impossible. […] Why do you always have to change everything that was good? I’m out.

Many also want the quick-witted TV blonde Ruth Moschner returns to the jury. It remains to be seen whether the show can win back its fans as the season progresses.
