Toronto star William Nylander played his first NHL game together with little brother Alexander Nylander last night.
– It was very special, says Nylander the elder about the home win against Utah.
The two brothers got time on the ice together and Alexander Nylander had the opportunity to pay tribute to his older brother who scored 3–1 in the second period.
– It was very fun, says William Nylander and adds that it would be fun if his little brother continues to deliver so there will be more such occasions.

The younger brother played for just over ten minutes and was goalless but had a couple of decent scoring chances, one of which was in the company of the brother.
– It was very cool, says Alexander Nylander to the press conference after the match.
– I kind of know how he plays, I just try to read him.
Dad Michael Nylanderwho played for over a decade in the NHL, is pleased that his sons are now playing together, notes Alexander Nylander.
– He said as in every match, play your game and work hard.

One year contract
Alexander Nylander, 26, has signed a one-year contract with the Canadian club. He previously played for the farm team Toronto Marlies in the AHL this season, with twelve points in 14 games (eight goals, four assists).
Big brother William Nylander, 28, has been one of Toronto’s biggest stars for several years and this season has 24 points in 21 games. He was also noted for an assist in the night’s encounter. The trainer Craig Berube think the Nylander duo worked together.
– I am very happy for them, and for their father, he told reporters after the match.
