Last Friday, Alexander Nylander signed an NHL contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs, after he had success in the fall in the AHL (twelve points in fourteen games in the Toronto farm team Marlies).
And last night, the 26-year-old got the chance to play with his two-year-older brother William for the first time in the NHL.
When the Toronto Maple Leafs won against Utah City, William Nylander scored the 3–1 goal in the game and he also assisted on the home team’s second goal.
– The whole day was special and it was special to see him play. It felt quite crazy in the first period, but after a while you got used to it. And of course it was nice that we could win, says goalscorer Nylander to Sportsnet.
Alexander Nylander got ten minutes and 37 seconds of ice time in the game, while his older brother played just over twice as much.
